The basics of securing a bike for transport are to place the front wheel in a wheel chock and then tying the motorcycle down.  The motorcycle wheel chocks can be found in all shapes and sizes, but the one thing they have in common is they need to be rigid to support the motorcycle.  This means mounting the chocks securely to the bed of the truck or floor of the trailer.
